The Credo raspberry is an early and universal variety bred at scientific institutions in Siberia and Altai. Bushes of this variety are medium-sized or low-growing, upright, and compact, reaching a height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters. The foliage is lightly leafy, which facilitates care and harvest collection. The berries are large, blunt-conical in shape, raspberry-colored with a slight fuzz, possessing a sour-sweet taste and pleasant aroma, making them attractive to consumers.
The Credo variety is distinguished by high yield, which is approximately 1.9 kg per linear meter or 19.3 centners per hectare. It is resistant to fungal diseases and raspberry midges, reducing the need for frequent use of chemical protective agents. However, drought resistance is weak, and winter hardiness is at a medium level, although according to some data, frost resistance is above average. Bushes possess resistance to diseases and pests, which is one of the main advantages of the variety.
Credo raspberry is suitable for cultivation in various regions with a temperate climate, especially in Western Siberia and the Altai Territory. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is widely used both for fresh consumption and for processing. Compactness of the bush and large fruit size make this variety convenient for intensive plantings and mechanized harvest collection.
