Ratnik

Rapeseed spring cultivar Ratnik® is a mid-season variety of napus developed using the mass populations method from a hybrid combination. This variety is characterized by a semi-closed bush and plant height ranging from 84 to 119 cm, which ensures good resistance to lodging and seed shattering. The mass of 1000 seeds varies within 3.4-4.7 g, and the seeds have a round black shape. Ratnik® belongs to the 00 type variety, which means the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content, making its oil and cake high-quality and safe for use.

The variety has a high productivity potential, reaching yields from 2.5 to 4.3 tons per hectare. It is adapted to agro-climatic conditions of various regions of the European part of Russia and Siberia, including the North, Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, Middle Volga, Ural, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia regions. Ratnik® demonstrates resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as alternaria, peronosporosis, and fusarium, which contributes to crop stability and reduced losses.

The fat content in Rapeseed Ratnik® seeds ranges from 42.1% to 47.3%, which is 1.7% higher than standard indicators, while the level of erucic acid in oil does not exceed 0.5%, and glucosinolates in the cake range from 0.4-0.7% (9.4-16.4 mmol/g). Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is recommended for cultivation both for seeds and for feed purposes, ensuring high product quality and efficient use in agriculture.
