Ladoga

Ladoga is a spring rapeseed hybrid (Brassica napus var. napus) of type 00, characterized by erucic acid-free and low glucosinolate properties. It exhibits medium maturity and uniform ripening, facilitating harvest and reducing yield loss risk. Plants have medium height ranging from 85 to 104 cm, with lower branches attached at 30–46 cm. Leaves are dark green with moderate serration, and yellow petals of medium length and width. Pods are short, either without or with a medium-length beak, which also contributes to harvesting convenience.

The Ladoga hybrid demonstrates high resistance to lodging, diseases, and pod cracking, confirmed by ratings of 8–9 points across various resistance indicators. It is well-adapted to various soil types and efficiently utilizes available resources, making it an optimal choice for regions with short growing seasons. Early and late sowing dates allow flexible planning of agronomic practices. Additionally, the plant shows high drought tolerance and wind resistance, enhancing yield stability.

Oil content in Ladoga seeds ranges from 40 to 44.3%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production. The recommended seeding rate is 650–800 thousand seeds per hectare, and each package contains 1.5 million seeds. The hybrid’s cold tolerance allows it to withstand temperatures down to -5°C. Thanks to its characteristics, Ladoga ensures stable and high yields under proper agronomy, improving economic efficiency for farmers.
