KWS JOHANNO

KWS Johanno is a hybrid rapeseed with medium-mature maturation type and high yield potential. Plants reach a height of 93-98 cm, and the vegetation period is over 105 days. The hybrid is characterized by rapid initial development, active lateral branching, and high oil content, which varies from 45.3 to 47.4%. Yield potential exceeds 42 kg/ha, making this rapeseed attractive for cultivation in various regions.

A feature of KWS Johanno is its high resistance to major rapeseed diseases, including phoma (RLM7 gene), verticillium, alternaria, and turnip yellow mosaic virus (TuYV). The hybrid also demonstrates enhanced winter hardiness and drought tolerance, ensuring crop stability even under unfavorable climatic conditions. Thanks to intensive branching and good compensatory ability, plants effectively develop the above-ground part and root system, which contributes to high productivity.

For growing KWS Johanno, it is recommended to use classic technology with optimal and late sowing dates. Sowing rate is 400,000 to 500,000 seeds per hectare. The hybrid is adapted to various soil and climatic conditions, allowing successful cultivation in regions such as Polesie and Forest Steppe. Resistance to pod splitting and tolerance to herbicides such as clomazone make this rapeseed convenient from an agronomic perspective and help maintain crop quality.
