The winter rape variety Severyanin is a high-yield crop intended for growing oilseeds and green fodder. It is characterized by a mid-early maturity period, which allows for its effective use in various agro-climatic zones. Plants have medium height at full flowering, the leaf blade is green with a moderate waxy coating, and anthocyanin coloring of the hypocotyl is absent or very weakly expressed. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 4.4 to 5.6 grams, indicating good quality seed material. Severyanin is distinguished by high winter hardiness and lodging resistance, ensuring crop stability under complex weather conditions. The variety shows resistance to drought, frost, as well as diseases such as powdery mildew and black rot. Moreover, it is resistant to the herbicide Euro-Lightning, which facilitates weed control and helps maintain crop health. Seed yield reaches 3.5-4.0 tons per hectare, and green mass yield is 28.0-30.0 tons per hectare, making this variety attractive for modern farming systems. According to chemical composition, Severyanin rape seeds contain 44-46% fat and 23.1-24.6% protein, while the erucic acid level is within 0.2-0.6%, and glucosinolates are 0.8-0.95%. These indicators ensure high quality of oilseeds and feed raw materials. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central-Black Earth, and North Caucasus regions, confirming its adaptability and universality.
