Rapeseed DILAN

Swedish breeding for high yields

The «Dylan» rapeseed hybrid from the Swedish breeding center Svalof Weibull AB is a prime example of how European genetics adapt to challenging climatic conditions. Developed in collaboration with Lantmannen Ek For, this hybrid was created with a focus on stability in regions with fluctuating moisture levels and unstable temperature regimes.

Agronomic advantages

The main feature of «Dylan» is its exceptional resilience. Unlike many sensitive hybrids, this rapeseed demonstrates high resistance to specific diseases that traditionally reduce yield potential in intensive farming. It is important to note that Svalof Weibull AB has prioritized comprehensive stability:

• High tolerance threshold for fungal infections.
• Minimized risk of lodging, which is critical for mechanized harvesting.
• Stable pod formation even under stressful weather conditions during the flowering period.

Who is this hybrid for?

«Dylan» is an optimal choice for farms that adhere to intensive cultivation technologies but are not willing to risk their harvest due to high sensitivity of the seed material to external factors. If your strategy is to obtain a stable total harvest with minimal expenditure on fungicide treatments, this hybrid provides the necessary technological foundation. It is forgiving of minor errors in planting dates and demonstrates a predictable result across various soil types.
