AXANA F1 — this is a high-yielding winter rape variety, jointly developed by the Ukrainian Institute of Oil Crops and the Serbian Institute NS Seme. This variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group and is intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. AXANA F1 is characterized by high yield, which varies by region from 4.12 to 4.97 tons per hectare, with potential yield reaching 6 tons per hectare.
The variety is characterized by high oil content — around 45% — as well as high protein levels in seeds (21.9–22.9%). An important feature is the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content (16 μmol/g), making the oil and products derived from this rape more quality-oriented and safe for food and industrial use. AXANA F1 has high winter hardiness (4.8 points), resistance to lodging, drought, and shattering, as well as good disease resistance, ensuring stable yields.
For sowing, the recommended seeding rate is 4.5 to 6 kg per hectare. Seeds are treated with thiamethoxam and coated with a special pigment-polymer, enhancing their protection and sowing quality. The variety is technologically suitable for mechanized cultivation, simplifying agronomic operations and increasing production efficiency. AXANA F1 is recommended for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine, confirming its adaptability and stability under various soil-climatic conditions.
