Originator — "Selgen, a.s.", Czech Republic. Group: early maturing. Biological characteristics: vigorous type, medium stem height (90–95 cm), high branching coefficient. Resistant to germination and shattering of grains in the ear. Drought tolerant. High winter hardiness. Shows very stable yields under various climatic conditions, but primarily intended for sowing in regions where corn and sugar beet are grown. Performs well in dry areas. Grain is medium-large with high test weight. 1000-grain weight is 44 grams. Potential yield: 80–85 cwt/ha. Sowing: not picky about preceding crops. Suitable for late preceding crops: corn, sugar beet. Sowing rate varies depending on timing: 3.5–4.5 million viable seeds; in very late sowing, 5.5 million viable seeds. Exhibits good resistance to powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria leaf blotch, and high resistance to Fusarium ear rot. Moderately lodging-resistant; therefore, growth regulators should be applied to strengthen stem strength under intensive cultivation.
