Apostel is an early-maturing winter wheat variety developed in Germany and registered in Ukraine in 2020. It is characterized by high yield, ranging from 52.9 to 73.3 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production. The variety features high protein content in grain — from 38.7 to 41.1%, as well as significant oil content — from 20.4 to 21.9% — enhancing its nutritional and technological value.
The Apostel variety exhibits resistance to major diseases and stress factors, ensuring stable yields under various conditions. It is adapted to diverse soil-climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Forest-Steppe, Polissia, and Steppe, expanding its cultivation potential. Plants have a determinate growth type with height ranging from 79.4 to 86.4 cm and a vegetation period from 268 to 273 days, enabling effective planning of agronomic activities.
The grain of the Apostel variety has a silvery-toothed type, yellow husk color, and light-brown aleurone, indicating its high quality. These characteristics make the variety attractive for use in various agricultural sectors, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
