PRIYARSKIY

Poplar 'Priyarskiy' – a natural complex hybrid of white poplar and aspen, discovered in the floodplain of the Don River (Davydovsky forestry). Its structure contains up to 8 % triploid cells, giving the tree a special wood density – about 650 kg/m³. The wood fiber length reaches 1.7 mm, making the material valuable for industrial use.

This tree grows fast and produces abundant root sprouts, making it easy to reproduce in plantation conditions. 'Priyarskiy' shows high frost resistance and is resistant to diseases, making it unpretentious to grow even on less favorable soils. In the places of growth, it is usually accompanied by white poplar and aspen of different sexes.

For forest growing, various propagation technologies are used for 'Priyarskiy': from traditional cuttings to microclonal methods. When preparing planting sites, attention is paid to soil quality, proper planting layout, and weed control on clearings. Thanks to these methods, high yield and stable growth of poplar plantations 'Priyarskiy' are achieved.
