Planting and Soil Preparation

To maximize biomass yield, deep plowing (30-40 cm) is essential to ensure proper aeration and root penetration. Planting should occur in early spring before the buds begin to swell. For energy plantations, a high-density planting scheme (5,000 to 10,000 plants per hectare) is recommended. This density promotes rapid canopy closure, which naturally suppresses weed competition and optimizes land use.

Maintenance and Care

• Irrigation: During the first two years, consistent moisture is vital, particularly in the Steppe zone. Drought stress during the establishment phase can significantly hinder the development of the straight, uniform trunk characteristic of this variety.
• Weed Control: Given the variety's morphology—specifically its weak pubescence and moderate lateral branching—it is susceptible to weed competition in the first season. Inter-row cultivation is necessary until the trees are well-established.
