MARVIK is a high-oleic sunflower hybrid of the new generation, designed for classical cultivation technology. It is characterized by dwarfism and a compact canopy that barely spreads outwards, which facilitates care and increases planting density. The plant's root system is deeply anchored in the soil, ensuring high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as stable yield under various climatic conditions. The hybrid is distinguished by an early maturity period with a vegetation cycle of 105-110 days, allowing for rapid harvest, especially with late plantings. MARVIK possesses high plasticity and adaptability to different soil types, including less fertile and waterlogged areas. It is drought-tolerant, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climates. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew (7 races A-G), fusarium, and new races of powdery mildew, which significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and decreases the need for intensive chemical protection. The yield potential of MARVIK reaches 35-50 c/ha, while oil content is approximately 52%. A feature of the hybrid is the high content of oleic acid — up to 93%, which improves oil quality and makes it particularly valuable for the production of high-quality food products. The breeder of the hybrid is the French company Maisadour Semences, which guarantees a modern level of breeding and variety reliability. Recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, especially in conditions where resistance to adverse factors and high productivity are important.
