Leaves are of medium size, heart-shaped, green without anthocyanin coloring, with moderate serration of the edges. Flowers are light yellow, ligules are oval, tubular yellow with absence or weak anthocyanin coloring of the stigma. The head is of medium size, turns halfway down at maturity, the seed side is flat. Seeds are large, wide-oval, with a gray main color and gray stripes, located at the edges and sides. The variety is characterized by high seed yield — 3.4-3.7 tons per hectare at a plant density of up to 30 thousand plants per hectare. The mass of 1000 seeds reaches up to 150 grams. The oil content of the seeds is 42%, which makes the variety attractive for oil production. VB 34 has good taste qualities, which is especially important for the confectionery industry. The use of the growth biostimulant Regoplant is recommended at a rate of 50 ml/hectare to reduce stress after herbicide treatment and increase plant resistance. Variety VB 34 is resistant to major sunflower diseases, such as downy mildew, phoma, fusarium, and other fungal diseases. It is adapted for cultivation in arid and moderately arid regions, which ensures a stable period of vegetation and high productivity even under unfavorable conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, VB 34 is a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain high-quality and high-yield sunflower.
