Sunflower M96S33 is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid developed by May Seed (Turkey) and produced by MAS Seeds (France). It has a vegetation period of approximately 105-118 days, making it optimal for various regions and well-suited for crop rotation. The hybrid features high plant vigor with a flat to slightly tilted head, and a linoleic plant type.

One key feature of M96S33 is its high resistance to eight races of downy mildew (A-H), including race G, as well as tolerance to the latest races of false powdery mildew. This ensures excellent plant phytosanitary status throughout the vegetation period. Additionally, strong stem and head hairiness helps reduce damage from pests such as the bollworm.

The hybrid demonstrates high yield, especially under drought conditions, due to its high drought tolerance (rating 9) and resistance to lodging (rating 7). The 1000-seed weight is 52-62 grams, and oil content ranges from 44 to 47%, making M96S33 attractive for oil production. Early plant growth is rated 6, ensuring good development in the early stages.
