BUZULUK

The Buzuluk sunflower variety belongs to the oil-type category and is characterized by high stability in productivity under various soil and climatic conditions. It is a very early-maturing variety with a vegetation period of about 102 days, and it is characterized by its dwarf stature, reaching plant heights from 145 to 165 cm. The disk diameter varies from 16 to 21 cm, while the mass of 1000 seeds is about 62 grams. The oil content in the seeds ranges from 42% to 53.7%, making the variety high-oil and attractive for producing linoleum-type oil.

The Buzuluk variety has high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, phoma, fusarium, and dry rot. It is also resistant to dodder, which significantly reduces the risk of yield losses. Thanks to its increased drought resistance and adaptability, the variety is recommended for cultivation in all natural-climatic zones suitable for growing sunflowers, including the Central-Black-Earth, North-Caucasian, Ural, and West-Siberian regions.

To achieve maximum yield, which can reach 35 c/ha, the Buzuluk variety requires high-quality soil treatment and fertilization. The recommended plant density before harvest is 55-60 thousand per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture and 60-65 thousand per hectare in areas with sufficient moisture. Thanks to its improved design-aesthetic features and high productivity, the Buzuluk variety is a profitable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower crop.
