Bakcardi

Sunflower Bakcardi is a mid-season linoleic hybrid developed by Syngenta using Clearfield® Plus technology. It is characterized by high yield and oil content, which ranges from 50 to 52%. The hybrid exhibits unique plasticity and stability under various climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and forested zones, including northern and central areas of the Steppe.

One of the key features of the Bakcardi hybrid is its resistance to strains of ragweed A–E, as well as diseases such as frogeye, fusarium, and sclerotinia. The Clearfield® Plus technology provides effective weed control with minimal residual effects on subsequent crops in crop rotation, reducing herbicide costs and enhancing ecological safety.

The Bakcardi hybrid best realizes its genetic potential on fertile soils when proper agronomic practices are followed. The recommended seeding rate is 40–55 thousand seeds per hectare, depending on soil moisture. Due to its high adaptability, resistance to pests and diseases, and high oil content, this sunflower is an optimal choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality yield.
