Description PG 2
PG 2 pear clonal rootstocks are vigorous rootstocks that are easily compatible with various pear varieties and do not require support for growth. Their root system is characterized by high frost resistance – withstands temperatures down to -16 °C, making them suitable for growing in regions with harsh winters.

PG 2 rootstock is well reproduced by green cuttings, and fruiting of grafted trees begins as early as the fourth year after planting. The average yield is 250‑300 kg/ha, while the tree is resistant to disease attacks, ensuring a stable and high-quality fruit output.

In horticulture, PG 2 rootstocks are used to obtain dwarf pears through pruning, as well as as a base for grafting young trees. Thanks to their medium growth characteristics, they allow easy control of tree shape and ensure ease of plant care.
