Phlox "Svyatogor" is a classic garden variety, bred in 1953 by P.G. Gaganov. The bush is compact and low: height usually ranges from 50 to 60 cm, but can sometimes reach 80–100 cm, and in rare cases even 120 cm. Stems are sturdy and upright, requiring no tying, which simplifies plant care.
The flowers of this variety are bright red with a raspberry tint, with a diameter of about 4 cm. They are gathered into dense, lush panicle inflorescences that maintain their saturated color even in strong sunlight and do not fade. The phlox has a pleasant, slightly sweet aroma, making it attractive to both gardeners and those who value the fragrance of the garden.
"Svyatogor" is distinguished by its early and prolonged flowering period – from mid-summer to the beginning of autumn (July–September). The plant grows well in sunny or partially shaded areas; protection from midday sun and strong winds will help extend its life. For optimal growth, nitrogen fertilization is recommended in spring, potassium before flowering, and phosphorus after flowering ends. Thanks to its hardiness and ease of cultivation, this variety is suitable for both private gardens and mass plantings in urban conditions.
