Description Gerda
Floкс "Gerda" is a perennial garden plant reaching up to 90 cm in height with a semi-spreading growth habit. Its foliage is dense and green, while the flower stems are sturdy and bear large inflorescences approximately 20×20 cm in size. The inflorescences have a branched-conical shape and are covered with dense salmon-pink flowers with white speckles and a purple ring at the throat, giving them a distinctive appearance.

Flowering begins in mid-July and lasts for about 60 days. In the first year, the bush typically produces one to three inflorescences, in the second year three to ten, and in the third and subsequent years the number can reach twelve to twenty. The flowers are simple, wheel-shaped with a diameter of about 3.5 cm, featuring a flat corolla and fan-shaped petal arrangement. The scent is weak but reminiscent of vanilla.

The variety is resistant to adverse weather conditions: it is drought-tolerant, heat-resistant, and has average winter hardiness. Additionally, "Gerda" shows good resistance to diseases and pests, making it suitable for cultivation both in single plantings and in groups. Thanks to the sturdy stem structure and dense foliage, the plant maintains its decorative appearance even during prolonged flowering.
