The 'Angelia' phacelia variety is a product of the renowned German company P.H. PETERSEN Saatzucht Lundsgaard GmbH. Officially registered in Ukraine in 2022, this variety has proven its adaptability across various agricultural zones, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya regions. Its development reflects a focus on high productivity and environmental resilience.

Morphological Profile

Angelia is characterized by an upright habit and a medium plant height ranging from 60 to 100 cm. The stems and leaves are smooth, lacking pubescence, which facilitates easier field management. The foliage is moderately green with a distinct anthocyanin coloration. The plant is highly prolific in terms of inflorescence, producing a large number of blue-violet flowers per main stem, which contributes to its exceptional visual and biological appeal.

Agronomic Utility

With a vegetation period of 70–90 days until the flowering stage, Angelia is a versatile choice for modern agriculture. It is highly valued for its nectar productivity, acting as a powerful attractant for pollinators. Beyond its role as a honey plant, it serves as an excellent cover crop (siderate) and forage culture. With a seeding rate of 8–10 kg/ha, the variety demonstrates rapid biomass accumulation, which is essential for improving soil structure and suppressing weed growth effectively.
