Phacelia FACTOTUM

A New Standard in Honey Plants: Phacelia Factotum

In 2024, the Ukrainian register of plant varieties was updated with a new selection from the Dutch company RAGT 2n — the Phacelia variety Factotum. This variety is a population developed for maximum adaptability across diverse agro-climatic conditions. Unlike many highly specialized hybrids, Factotum demonstrates consistent performance in both the arid conditions of the Steppe and the more humid zones of the Forest-Steppe and Polissya.

Why choose Factotum?

• Universal Adaptation: The variety is officially recommended for all three key agricultural zones of Ukraine (SLP), making it a reliable choice for farmers working with various soil types.
• Genetic Plasticity: As a population variety, Factotum possesses high genetic plasticity. This is crucial for Phacelia, which is frequently grown as a green manure or honey plant in unpredictable climatic conditions.
• European Quality: Developed by RAGT 2n, this variety ensures high seed purity and predictable vegetation periods, allowing for precise planning of honey collection or green manure incorporation into the soil.

Factotum is the choice for those seeking a reliable tool for soil structure improvement and providing bees with high-quality nectar. With its 2024 registration, farmers gain access to the latest genetics that meet modern requirements for yield and environmental stress resistance.
