Blade

BLADE is an early-maturing hybrid of hot pepper of the Capsicum annuum L. type, intended for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is compact, with a well-developed root system and short internodes, reaching a height of about 60 cm. The leaves densely cover the fruits, protecting them from direct sunlight, which contributes to the formation of high-quality yield. The maturation period is 100-110 days from germination, enabling early and main harvests.

BLADE fruits have an elongated-conical shape, up to 22 cm long and weighing 50-75 grams. They are two-chambered, with a wall thickness of 3.0-3.5 mm, smooth and highly glossy. In technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, while in biological maturity they acquire a deep dark-red hue. The flavor of the fruits is hot and spicy, which remains even under cold growing conditions.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield — in southern regions, open-ground cultivation can produce 3.0 to 4.7 kg of marketable fruits per square meter, with a marketable product output of up to 91%. The plant is resistant to diseases, particularly fruit tip rot. BLADE pepper is versatile in use: it is suitable for fresh consumption, processing, drying, and as a spice.
