Pepper SHALYNA EMPRESS

Cultivation of the 'Shalnaya Imperatritsa' Pepper

Designed specifically for glass greenhouse environments, this variety stands out for its rapid development cycle, with a maturity period of just 55–65 days. It is an ideal choice for growers focused on high-volume commercial production during the early season.

Key Agrotechnical Management

• Greenhouse Performance: The variety thrives in a controlled climate, where light and temperature management are optimized. These conditions are essential for maintaining the target fruit weight of 200–250 grams consistently.
• Operational Requirements: The trapezoidal fruit shape is visually appealing for retail markets. However, due to the substantial mass (200–250 g), robust trellising is mandatory to support the plant and prevent breakage, especially during the peak harvest phase.
• Production Strategy: Farmers leverage this variety for its early maturity and uniformity. When grown in protected structures, it provides a reliable supply of high-grade produce, simplifying post-harvest logistics and packaging.

Successful production relies on precision feeding and climate control within the glass structure. The variety ensures that the majority of the harvest meets the weight criteria of 200–250 grams, resulting in a predictable and marketable yield that meets professional standards.
