MUSHROOM FAN'S DREAM

The eggplant variety "Mushroom Fan's Dream" is a compact bush 50-80 cm high, making it convenient to grow both in open ground and under film coverings. The plant is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and unpretentiousness, capable of setting fruits well even with a lack of sunlight and heat. Bushes are decorated with large bright violet flowers, while ripening fruits have an unusual milky-white color, giving the plant decorative appeal.

Eggplant fruits are oval-shaped, with thin and tender skin, weighing up to 250 g, possess exceptional tenderness of flesh, which is white, juicy and practically seedless. Thanks to the complete absence of bitterness and a thin mushroom aroma, eggplants of this variety are ideal for various culinary purposes: from preparing hot and cold dishes to canning and making vegetable appetizers, stuffed rolls and caviar. The shelf life of fruits can reach up to 5 years under conditions of a dry and cool place.

Agrotechnology of growing includes sowing for seedlings in early March with subsequent pricking out at the stage of two true leaves. Seedling planting is carried out in late April – early May with forming plants in two stems and pinching the top in August to improve fruiting. A planting scheme of 40x70 cm is recommended, regular fertilizing with fertilizers and watering at the root with increasing the water rate during fruiting. For increasing fruit setting in hot weather, lower ventilation of the greenhouse is useful. The average ripening period is 110-118 days from germination to fruiting, and yield reaches 7.5-9.5 kg per square meter.
