Bell pepper Yanka RZ F1

Stable yields of hot pepper with Rijk Zwaan

Working with the Yanka RZ F1 hybrid from the Dutch breeders Rijk Zwaan is, above all, about predictability. For an agronomist working in open field conditions, the determinate growth habit of this pepper is a key operational advantage. The plant does not require endless pruning, which significantly saves time on maintenance and reduces labor costs.

Vegetation and harvest features

The hybrid is perfectly adapted to field cultivation. The sturdy bush withstands wind loads and heavy fruit set without stem damage. Key development stages:

• Technical maturity: fruits have a distinct yellow-white hue, allowing for early harvesting.
• Biological maturity: peppers turn a rich red color while maintaining wall density and a high-quality appearance for transport.
• Geometry: the conical shape is convenient for packing and processing, with uniform fruit size that simplifies work on sorting lines.

Field resistance

One of the biggest headaches when growing peppers is the Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV). With Yanka RZ F1, this issue is solved at the genetic level. This eliminates the need for excessive insecticide treatments against virus vectors and reduces the risk of losing marketable produce. For the producer, this means stable yield per hectare and minimized losses. It is a professional choice for those who value Dutch quality and predictable performance in the field.
