«Lvivska Chocoladka» is a notable cultivar developed by the M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden. As a true Itoh hybrid, it requires specific management to reach its full potential. A lack of light will immediately manifest in reduced flower size and a duller raspberry hue of the petals.

Operational Guidelines

• Soil Requirements: The variety thrives only in fertile soils. Given its height of 80 cm, the root system requires significant nutrient availability to maintain vigorous growth throughout the season.
• Watering Management: With moderate drought tolerance, the plant should not be allowed to dry out completely, especially during the bloom cycle (May 31 – June 15). Consistent soil moisture is the primary factor in sustaining the 15 cm flower diameter.
• Maintenance and Cut Flower Utility: The stems are structurally robust, making this cultivar an excellent choice for cut flower production. No staking is generally required, which reduces labor during the intensive flowering window.
• Seasonal Care: Itoh hybrids are known for their resilience, but for optimal garden performance, clean up the foliage after the first frost to prevent moisture retention near the crown.
