Darnel Stravinsky

Premium Danish genetics for superior forage

The «Stravinsky» variety from DLF represents the pinnacle of forage crop development, specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern livestock operations. By leveraging Denmark's extensive agricultural expertise, DLF has created a ryegrass variety that bridges the gap between high biomass yield and exceptional feed quality.

Key performance indicators

• Superior palatability: The distinctive aromatic profile of Stravinsky ensures higher voluntary intake, which is critical for maximizing daily weight gain and milk production.
• Rapid recovery rates: Designed for high-intensity grazing and frequent harvesting, this variety bounces back quickly after cutting, outperforming many generic alternatives.
• Uniformity and growth: Stravinsky provides a dense sward that effectively competes with weeds, ensuring a consistent and high-quality feed source throughout the season.

Operational insights

Stravinsky is engineered for performance-oriented farmers. Its primary strength lies in its ability to respond efficiently to optimal soil fertility and moisture levels. While it requires a disciplined approach to fertilization, the return on investment is evident in the nutritional value of the silage or grazing matter. Unlike standard varieties, Stravinsky excels at maintaining high digestibility even as it matures.

Why choose Stravinsky?

If your goal is to reduce reliance on external supplements, Stravinsky provides the foundational quality needed for a self-sufficient, high-output forage system. It is the ideal choice for producers who prioritize animal health and performance, backed by the reliability of the DLF seed technology.
