Darnel Ruslana

Operational standards and cultivation

When incorporating 'Ruslana' fenugreek into your crop rotation, it is essential to manage the growth cycle effectively. With a vegetation period of 70–90 days, timing is the most critical operational factor. The plants reach a height of 70–100 cm, which requires standard mowing equipment adjustment to ensure clean harvesting without significant losses.

Key technical insights for the operator:

• Maintenance intensity: categorized as 'medium' care, the variety responds well to basic soil nutrition and consistent water management.
• Yield performance: consistent output of 1–2 kg/m² makes it a predictable asset for forage planning or specialized green cover.
• Reproduction logic: as a non-self-pollinating variety, 'Ruslana' relies on external environmental factors. Ensuring proper field placement for cross-pollination is mandatory for reaching the upper end of the yield potential.

Developed by the Institute of Fodder of the UAAS, this variety combines decorative utility with functional forage characteristics. For the operator, managing 'Ruslana' implies a structured approach to the flowering phase. By maintaining the recommended agronomic protocols, producers can achieve stable yields while keeping maintenance costs within the predicted range. This variety is an effective choice for those seeking a reliable, locally bred solution for agricultural land use.
