Darnel Sviatoshynskiy

Technical Profile: Svyatoshynskyi Ryegrass

Developed by the National Scientific Center 'Institute of Agriculture of NAAS', the Svyatoshynskyi variety of ryegrass is specialized for professional landscape design. Unlike forage-type grasses, this variety has been specifically selected for turf density, leaf texture, and regrowth dynamics required for high-aesthetic lawns.

Agrotechnical Features

• Tillering Architecture: The variety displays high tillering intensity, which is a critical factor for creating a resilient turf layer capable of withstanding mechanical stress and foot traffic.
• Growth Dynamics: The breeding focus was placed on controlled vertical growth rate, significantly reducing the frequency of mowing required for maintenance.
• Visual Characteristics: The narrow-leaf architecture ensures a uniform, dense sward with a vibrant green color that persists throughout the active growing season.

Durability and Adaptation

Svyatoshynskyi is inherently adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, exhibiting significant winter hardiness and drought tolerance. Its root system's regenerative capacity allows it to effectively suppress weed encroachment, ensuring the lawn's aesthetic integrity over long periods. This variety is an ideal choice for parks, residential landscapes, and green zones where the objective is to balance high ornamental standards with operational durability and low maintenance costs.
