Onion Novator

Reliable crop production for modern farms

The «Novator» onion variety, developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production, is designed for farmers who prioritize consistency and ease of maintenance. This variety is an excellent choice for those who utilize small-scale mechanization, specifically walk-behind tractors (cultivators), to manage their fields efficiently.

Practical application and agronomy

The variety is specifically adapted to the climatic conditions of Russia, ensuring reliable yields even under challenging weather scenarios. The breeding focus was placed on high resistance to common onion diseases, effectively reducing the need for aggressive chemical protection and saving production costs.

Why choose Novator for your fields?

• Mechanization readiness: The crop is well-suited for inter-row cultivation using walk-behind tractors. This allows for efficient weed control and fertilizer application without damaging the root zone.
• Post-harvest quality: «Novator» features dense outer scales, making it highly suitable for long-term storage, which is a key requirement for market-oriented farms aiming for off-season sales.
• Uniformity: The consistent size and shape of the bulbs minimize waste during harvest and grading, directly improving the profitability of each batch.

Opting for «Novator» is a practical decision for growers seeking a robust variety that balances productivity with low-maintenance requirements, making it ideal for small-to-medium-sized agricultural businesses.
