Chaika

Red onion variety "Chayka" is a versatile mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 110 to 118 days. The bulb has an elongated-round shape and reaches a weight of up to 250 grams. Dry scales are yellow, while juicy scales are white, giving the onion an attractive appearance. The variety has a sharp taste, making it popular for various culinary purposes.

The "Chayka" variety has a high dry matter content — 15.75% — which contributes to good storage quality and product quality. The onion is resistant to downy mildew, ensuring reliable cultivation even in monocultures. High storability, reaching 95%, allows for long-term storage without loss of market quality.
