Description Balada
Ballada onion — a modern onion variety registered in the State Register in 2019, suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie. It is characterized by high yield, reaching 37.4 tons per hectare, and resistance to major diseases and pests: false powdery mildew, rot, and onion fly, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest. Ballada onion is used fresh, as well as after boiling, frying, canning, and drying; additionally, it is used in folk medicine due to its beneficial properties.

The plant belongs to the lily family, has a height of about 50-55 cm, and the flower bud height is 8-10 cm. The onion bulbs of the Ballada variety are medium-sized (12/14), with a distinctive purple-white color. The flowering period occurs in April-May, allowing this variety to be used both for food purposes and for decorative cultivation. Usually, a package contains three bulbs, and the country of origin of the variety is the Netherlands.

Ballada onion is valued for its versatility and high adaptability to different growing conditions. It is suitable for both open ground and greenhouse cultivation, making it popular among gardeners and farmers. Due to its taste qualities and resistance to adverse factors, this variety is an excellent choice for obtaining early and high-quality onion harvests.
