Ronell

Ronell F1 is an ultra-early parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. The vegetative period is 41-45 days, enabling early harvest in protected cultivation in spring and autumn. The plant is compact, with high growth energy and short internodes, which promotes uniform and stable fruiting. Side shoots stop growing at a height of 80-100 cm, significantly simplifying crop care and reducing labor costs during cultivation.

The fruits of Ronell are light green, large-warted, glossy, 10-12 cm long. They have a small seed cavity and crisp, firm flesh without bitterness. Even under unfavorable growing conditions, the fruits retain their shape and attractive market appearance, not losing form or quality. Thanks to these characteristics, the cucumbers are ideal for fresh sales and maintain their appearance during long-distance transportation, making them popular in the market.

The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as cucumber mosaic and cladosporiosis, which increases harvest stability and reduces the need for intensive plant protection. Ronell F1 is intended for cultivation in protected environments, allowing early production with high yield performance. The compactness of the plant and fruit formation characteristics (2-4 fruits per axil) make this hybrid convenient for agronomic management and attractive for commercial cultivation.
