Description Gusar
Cucumber GUSAR is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground. The plant is medium-sized and female-flowering, capable of forming up to four fruits per node. The cucumbers have an oval-cylindrical shape, dark green color with characteristic light stripes, length of 8-10 cm, and weight of 70-95 g. Fruits are covered with large bumps and white spines, possess a strong cucumber aroma and excellent flavor without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as for pickling, marinating, and fermenting.

GUSAR is distinguished by high yield and resistance to major cucumber diseases such as olive spot, true and false powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). Seeds retain germination capacity for up to seven years under proper storage conditions, but it is recommended to increase sowing rates after the expiration of the germination period. High-quality yields can be achieved through either seedling cultivation or direct sowing into the soil. Seedlings are transplanted at the 2-3 true leaf stage, when soil temperature exceeds 10 degrees Celsius and nighttime frosts are absent.

For successful cultivation of GUSAR cucumber, it is recommended to use light soils with sufficient organic fertilizer content. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1.5-3 cm, and seedlings may be covered with plastic film for protection and to accelerate germination. During the vegetative period, up to three feedings are conducted, including foliar applications in the second half of growth, which helps increase yield and improve fruit quality.
