Nigella «Yalita» is a selected variety of black cumin developed by Crimean scientists and used in various industries. The plant is distinguished by its high resistance to cold and the ability to grow rapidly up to 60 cm, making it convenient for cultivation both in open garden beds and in pots. The flowers of the variety can be white, yellow, blue, or purple, while the leaves are cut along the edges, giving the plant decorative appeal.
The «Yalita» variety is valued for the rich chemical composition of its seeds: the oily seeds contain high levels of thymoquinone, vitamins B1 and B3, folic acid, zinc, and calcium. These components make it useful for both culinary purposes and the production of cosmetic products. In particular, black cumin oil from «Yalita» is used in creams, where thanks to thymoquinone, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects are manifested. Creams based on this oil have anti-aging, moisturizing, and nourishing effects, help even out age spots, and are suitable for mature skin.
On an industrial scale, «Yalita» is used in the food and perfume industries. Crimean scientists are developing technological methods for growing aimed at obtaining seeds on a large scale, which opens up prospects for introducing the variety into mass production. Thanks to its agronomic stability and high content of useful substances, «Yalita» becomes a valuable resource for both agriculture and the beauty industry.
