Carrot variety Korina is a medium-late, high-yielding hybrid with a vegetative period of 125-130 days. The roots have a conical shape with a rounded tip, measuring 13-16 cm in length and bright orange color. The flesh is dense, juicy, and sweet, making this variety suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and long-term storage.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases and cracking, ensuring a stable yield. The roots are smooth and uniform, with an average weight of 100-200 g. Due to simultaneous ripening, Korina is suitable for mechanical harvesting, simplifying the harvest process.
For sowing, it is recommended to use a water-soluble film strip with seeds placed 2 cm apart. After planting, the film quickly dissolves, allowing seeds to germinate freely without the need for thinning. The optimal row spacing is 30-35 cm, and the planting depth is 1-1.5 cm. The variety is well-suited for open-ground cultivation and is produced in Czechia.
