Golden Dome

Onion variety Golden Dome is a mid-season and universal variety intended for cultivation as a single-year culture from seeds and seedlings, as well as a biennial one from sets. The bulbs have a round-flat shape, dense structure, and a mass from 60 to 85 grams. Their dry skins are colored golden-yellow, while the juicy pulp is white. The variety is characterized by high sugar content, dry matter, biologically active substances, and antioxidants, which gives the onion a sharp taste and juiciness.

Plants form a medium-sized rosette of dark green, juicy, and tender leaves with a sharp taste. Golden Dome is characterized by high resistance to downy mildew, which is especially important during epidemics, and excellent storage qualities, which allow keeping the harvest for a long time without loss of quality. The yield of the variety is from 5 to 8 kilograms per square meter.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use fertile, drained soils with neutral acidity. An important condition is to ensure plants with an adequate amount of light and moisture: watering is carried out once a week, and in hot weather - twice. Optimal planting schemes are 20x5 cm for seeds and 25x8 cm for sets and seedlings, which contributes to the formation of a high-quality and abundant harvest.
