Anise Hyssop is a perennial plant that grows to over a meter in height and has a characteristic four-sided stem structure and oval leaves up to 10 cm long. Each bush forms spikes with blue, white, or orange flowers that attract pollen and are honey-producing. The fruit is an elongated nut-like form of dark brown color.
This species is widely used in gardening as a decorative element: tall green bushes create a living background, while spikes add colorful accents in various shades – white, lilac, blue, pink, yellow-orange, and blue. Hyssop is also valued for its aroma, which releases essential oils, as well as for healing properties: traditionally used in folk medicine for preparing infusions, decoctions, and cosmetic products.
In addition, hyssop is a honey-producing plant with prolonged flowering. Honey produced from its pollen has an inimitable aroma and beneficial properties. Cultivation requires a well-lit location and moderate soil moisture; seeds weigh 0.1 g and are not genetically modified. It is grown outdoors, as well as in garden plots, where it improves air quality and adds natural beauty.
