Description Favorit
Favorite is a variety of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum L. var. intermedia), characterized by medium maturity and dwarf stature. Plants reach a height of about 45 cm, ensuring resistance to lodging and shattering. The seeds are brown, with a 1000-seed mass of 7.3 grams. The maturity period varies from 100 to 112 days, allowing cultivation in the various climatic conditions of the Volga-Vyatsky, Middle Volga, and Ural regions.

The Favorite variety is distinguished by high yield, with average figures ranging from 13.6 to 14.9 centners per hectare, and a maximum yield reaching 23.2 centners per hectare. The seeds contain about 47% fat, a significant portion of which consists of beneficial fatty acids: linoleic acid — 17.3%, linolenic — 52.0%, oleic — 18.6%. Thanks to such a composition, this flax variety is a valuable raw material for producing vegetable oils with a high content of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

In addition, Favorite possesses resistance to Fusarium wilt, which increases its reliability and stability during cultivation. These characteristics make the variety attractive for agrarians interested in obtaining high-quality and high-yielding oil flax suitable for the production of food and technical products.
