Lily Maria

Technical Profile of the 'Maria' OT-Hybrid

The 'Maria' lily, developed through the breeding program associated with FANCA, represents a balanced OT-hybrid (Oriental x Trumpet). This variety is engineered for structural integrity, reaching a height of 90–120 cm. The robust root system ensures sustained nutrient uptake, which translates into the strong stem rigidity necessary for high-quality cut flower production and consistent performance in decorative beds.

Floral Architecture and Performance Metrics

The standout feature of 'Maria' is its cup-shaped bloom, measuring 12–16 cm in diameter. A significant technical trait is the absence of fragrance, which makes this variety highly versatile for indoor environments and mass-market retail, where aroma sensitivity can be a commercial constraint. The pink-and-white color profile is stable, showing resistance to UV-induced fading.

• Structural Stability: The plant exhibits excellent verticality, supporting its large blooms without requiring additional support systems in greenhouse settings.
• Logistical Durability: The dense cell structure of the petals ensures extended vase life and mechanical resilience during transportation.
• Growth Dynamics: Designed for professional cultivation, the hybrid exhibits uniform development, allowing for synchronized harvesting cycles in intensive production environments.

By prioritizing a non-aromatic profile and high structural vigor, the 'Maria' variety from FANCA provides a professional-grade solution for both garden aesthetics and the commercial floral industry.
