LIMPOMO

Limpopo salad is an early-maturing head lettuce of the oilseed type, featuring a flat-round, compact head measuring approximately 13x14 cm and weighing between 380 and 410 grams. The leaf rosette reaches a diameter of 27-30 cm; leaves are green, slightly wavy, with a delicate texture and soft, balanced flavor. The head density is above average, ensuring good preservation and ease of use.

This variety is recommended for cultivation in open ground, where it demonstrates high yields—ranging from 3.5 to 4.0 kg per square meter. Limpopo is resistant to bolting, allowing for the harvest of quality produce without premature flower stalk formation. Seeds are sown directly into the ground in April-May or into seedlings in March-April, followed by transplanting in May, with an optimal planting scheme of 25x25 cm.

The Limpopo leaf rosette is semi-erect, about 22 cm high, with medium-sized, light-green, blistered leaves that are smooth-edged. The head is closed, flat-round, and medium-density, making this variety ideal for various culinary applications.
