Lettuce AFFEK

Stable yields without unnecessary trouble

For those involved in commercial lettuce production, disease control is a bigger priority than fertilization. In high-humidity conditions where adjacent plots start to fail due to downy mildew, this lettuce continues to form dense, healthy rosettes.

Field characteristics and cultivation

When it comes to establishing the plantation, everything is straightforward. Since this is an early-maturing variety, it reaches market weight quickly, allowing for easy scheduling of staggered harvests. The bright green leaves look appetizing, and the massive rosettes are crucial for maximizing marketable yields per hectare.

Protection and resistance

The phytosanitary profile deserves special mention:

• Sclerotinia and Sclerosporium: Affik shows impressive resistance, saving money on fungicide applications.
• Powdery mildew: Aggressive pathogen pressure has almost no effect on growth rates.
• Downy mildew: Even under stress, the variety maintains its commercial appearance without losing head density.

For a business owner, this means predictable production costs. Fewer treatments result in a cleaner product and reduced chemical overhead. Affik is a reliable "workhorse" that won't let you down during the critical harvest period, delivering the exact weight and visual quality the current market demands.
