KrypLOTSKIY is a hybrid variety of hops (Humulus lupulus L.) obtained as a result of free pollination of the Muranovsky variety. The variety was bred at the Republican Research Institute of Hop Growing, Kalistovo settlement, Moscow region, by Maria Ivanovna Krylova. In 1992, it was included in the register of permitted varieties.
KrYPLOTSKIY belongs to medium-early ripening cultivars with a vegetative period duration of about 112 days. It is characterized by a delicate aromatic character, making it a popular choice for brewing. The content of alpha-acids in this variety ranges from 5.9% to 8.3%, while some sources record a value of about 5.3%. Bitter substances make up 16–22%.
The potential yield of KrYPLOTSKIY fluctuates between 18 and 30 centners per hectare. Thanks to the combination of high alpha-acid content and mild aroma, this variety is suitable both for producing light beer with a pronounced hop flavor and for more robust styles where a balance of bitterness and aromatic notes is required.
