NS 2022

Corn NS 2922 is a mid-early hybrid of universal use, intended for grain and silage production. This variety has a vegetation period of 113-115 days and belongs to the maturity group with FAO 240-250. Plants reach a height of 230 to 330 cm, possess a strong and elastic stem, as well as a powerful root system, ensuring good adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions and high drought resistance. Ears are cylindrical with 16-18 rows of kernels, each row containing 34 to 42 toothed yellow kernels, with a 1000-kernel weight of about 330 g. Hybrid NS 2922 is genetically predisposed to form two ears, contributing to stable and high yields. Potential dry grain yield exceeds 120 c/ha, and silage yield exceeds 500 c/ha. The variety demonstrates high resistance to lodging and tolerance to major corn diseases, including common smut, gummy ear disease, and fusarium. Due to its strong root system, plants effectively utilize moisture, enhancing drought resistance and ensuring stable growth even under adverse conditions. Sowing recommendations include optimal plant density depending on intended use and region: for silage in the forest-steppe zone — 70-75 thousand/ha, for grain in the central steppe — 65-70 thousand/ha, and in the southern steppe — 55-60 thousand/ha. Corn NS 2922 responds well to fertilizer application and is versatile in use, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking high and stable yields under various agro-climatic conditions.
