The POESI CS hybrid corn is a mid-season hybrid with FAO 300, developed using the DUO SILO® technology, which combines two hybrids with similar agronomic traits but different grain types and starch digestion periods. This ensures more efficient silage utilization from mixed silages. POESI CS features a silica-toothed grain type, high yield of quality silage, and resistance to lodging due to its strong stalk, reducing losses during harvest. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions at optimal sowing dates from +10 °C. Plants reach a height of approximately 300 cm, with ear attachment height of 120 cm, 16 rows of kernels per ear, 30 kernels per row, and a 1000-kernel weight of 290 grams. The hybrid demonstrates high initial growth energy and excellent water shedding, optimizing drying costs. Thanks to the StayGreen trait, efficient photosynthesis and flexible harvest timing are ensured, promoting stable yield and quality of both grain and stalk. For successful cultivation of POESI CS, it is recommended to apply fertilizer during the 3-5 leaf stage using microfertilizers, as well as apply post-emergence herbicides with active ingredients nicosulfuron, 2,4-D, and florasulam for weed control. In the 3-5 leaf stage, insecticides based on imidacloprid and lambda-cyhalothrin may also be applied for pest protection. The recommended planting density depends on soil moisture: 75-80 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 60-65 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture. Seeds are supplied in packages of 80 thousand seeds treated with RedigoM + Poncho.
