Porumbeni 310 — this is a simple early corn hybrid with high production potential, intended for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine. The vegetation period is 90-95 days, allowing harvest within a short timeframe. Plants reach a height of approximately 250 cm, with an intensive early growth rate rated at 9 points, ensuring good development during initial vegetation stages. Ear attachment height is 110 cm, and ear length varies from 19 to 21 cm. The number of rows per ear is 16-18, with 38-40 kernels per row. Kernel type is dent, and the 1000-kernel weight ranges from 280-320 grams. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to various pathogens and pests, including drought tolerance, lodging resistance, cold tolerance, fusarium, stalk borer, and corn borer infestation — all resistance ratings are 8-9 points. Due to these qualities, Porumbeni 310 demonstrates stable productivity even under adverse climatic conditions. Its genetic yield potential is 140-150 c/ha, and actual grain yield can reach 12-13 t/ha when agronomic recommendations are followed. Recommended planting density at harvest time is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in the forest-steppe zone and 45-50 thousand plants per hectare in the central steppe.
