The PALIZI CS corn hybrid is a simple and disease-resistant variety designed for silage production using the DUO SILO® technology. Plants reach a height of approximately 300 cm, with ear attachment height around 120 cm. The ear contains 16 rows of kernels, with approximately 30 kernels per row, and a 1000-kernel weight of 290 grams. The hybrid features a cream-colored, dent-type kernel and demonstrates high-quality silage yield, resistance to lodging, and rapid water shedding. Recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe regions.
Successful cultivation of PALIZI CS requires soil temperature not lower than +6°C at planting. The plant exhibits excellent StayGreen trait, promoting effective photosynthesis, flexible harvest timing, and high quality for both grain and stalk. It is recommended to apply microfertilizers during the 3–5 leaf stage, such as domestic "Kukuriza" by Yarilo or similar products from other manufacturers.
Post-emergence herbicides and insecticides should be applied during the 3–5 leaf stage to protect the hybrid from weeds and pests. For weed control, herbicides containingnicosulfuron, 2,4-D diethylhexyl ester, florasulam, and rimsulfuron are recommended. For pest control, insecticides based on imidacloprid and lambda-cyhalothrin are advised. Optimal planting density depends on soil moisture: 60–70 thousand plants per hectare is recommended for adequately moist soil, while 75–80 thousand plants per hectare is advised for dry conditions.
