Description Kyros
Feed beet of the Kyros variety is an agricultural crop grown for feed products. This variety is characterized by cylindrical root crops of yellow-orange color with a smooth surface and white juicy pulp. Root crops can penetrate the soil up to 40%, which promotes their good development. The average weight of one root crop reaches up to 6 kg, and the yield can be up to 1250 centners per hectare. Beet contains 6-7 grams of protein per kilogram and up to 14% dry matter, making it a valuable feed component.

Kyros is known for its unpretentiousness and good adaptation to various soil and climate conditions, allowing it to be grown in all regions of Ukraine. The variety responds positively to fertilizer application and soil fertility, which contributes to increased yield. During harvesting, root crops are practically not contaminated, and fruits can be stored until December, ensuring a long feed usage period. The recommended sowing rate is 10-15 kg of seeds per hectare.

For successful cultivation of Kyros, soil preparation with a processing depth of 20-22 cm and optimal agronomic indicators, such as pH around 6.0, phosphorus and potassium content of not less than 150-200 mg/kg of soil, and humus at a level of 1.8% is necessary. Predecessors for this crop can be winter cereals, corn, potatoes, annual grasses, and legumes. Compliance with the technological scheme of cultivation, including soil preparation, fertilizer application, sowing, care, and harvesting, allows obtaining a high and stable yield of feed beet of the Kyros variety.
