The Bolero fodder beet is an annual plant with a compact, spreading, and densely foliated bush up to 30 cm tall. The plant is unpretentious, grows quickly, is heat-loving and drought-resistant, and can tolerate partial shade. Its bright golden-yellow flowers with a mahogany border, 4-6 cm in diameter, decorate the bushes from June until the first frosts, while cut flower clusters last a long time in water. Sowing seeds is done in open ground in May-June or for seedlings in April for earlier flowering. Bolero is widely used for greening flower beds, rabatok, balcony containers, and garden vases.
This variety belongs to fodder beets (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. alba DC.) and was approved for use in 1994. It was developed and originated by the company LLC "SESVANDERHAVE". Bolero is characterized by high yield and resistance to unfavorable conditions, making it in demand in agriculture for feeding animals.
Fodder beet Bolero has high nutritional value, ensuring effective feeding of livestock. The plant is easy to grow and adapts to various soil and climatic conditions, allowing for stable yields even during dry periods. Thanks to its characteristics and decorative appearance, Bolero combines both practical utility and aesthetic appeal.
