Coriander "Aroma" is an annual aromatic plant widely used in cooking and cosmetology. Coriander seeds are valued for their content of essential and technical fat oil, making them indispensable for flavoring dishes, preparing marinades, and baking. The plant is cold-hardy and can withstand frosts down to -5°C. Sowing of coriander takes place from April to July, and harvesting occurs in July-August.
The essential oil of coriander seeds, obtained by steam distillation, is a 100% organic and therapeutic product. It has a wide range of beneficial properties, including analgesic, muscle-relaxing, carminative, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral effects. The oil also has a sedative, antidepressant, and antispasmodic effect, aids digestion, and possesses antioxidant properties. To preserve quality, it is recommended to store the oil in a cool, dark place at a temperature not exceeding +17°C, avoiding direct sunlight and contact with air.
Additionally, coriander essential oil is used in fishing as an effective additive to attract white river fish, such as bream, roach, and ide. Its rich aroma and taste enhance the attractiveness of baits, and the dosage is 12-15 drops per 1 kg of base mixture. The oil can be combined with other flavorings, such as vanilla, cinnamon, dill, and garlic. Application is possible throughout the season from spring to autumn and at any time of day. However, contraindications should be considered: the oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and application to mucous membranes and open wounds should be avoided.
